Chocolate chip cookie perfection
Not too sweet, well balanced and moist - this chocolate chip cookie recipe is perfection.
Ingredients
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
10 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup almond paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 teaspoon cider vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 large egg
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips*
⅓ cup dark chocolate chips.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, combine sugars, butter, almond paste, salt, vanilla, vinegar, and baking soda, beating until smooth.
Beat in the egg, thoroughly combine.
Mix in the flour, then the chips.
Scoop 1 1/4" balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving 2" between them on all sides.
Bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes, until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, and cool on the pan until they've set.
