Faux French Dip
Ingredients:
3 lb beef chuck roast
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion roughly chopped
2-5 cloves garlic
1-2 cup baby carrots
1 packet of onion soup mix
1 cup red wine
1 cups of water
1 tsp herbs du provance
1 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp pepper
I packet of onion soup mix
Directions:
Rub the beef (trimmed of excess fat) with olive oil, herbs, salt, pepper.
Sear in dutch oven
Add onion, carrots, red wine, water and onion soup mix.
Cover and pop in the oven at 300° for approximately three hours.
Shred and serve on toasted bread or buns with melted mozzarella cheese.
Use liquid left in the pan to dip the sandwich.
