One Pot, 15 minute, Creamy Noodle Side - I needed a fast side dish that included some sort of “produce”. We always have peas on hand in the freezer, but this would do well with broccoli also. I was serving it with chicken breasts and I didn't feel like cleaning more than one pot because it had been a long day.
This was a success and everybody loved it! I hope you do too.
Recipe
Ingredients:
4 cups water
1 pound egg noodles
1 bag frozen peas
1 teaspoon chicken base
1 can cream of chicken soup
¼ cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Spices:
1 tablespoon dried chives
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ - 1 teaspoon salt (depending on preference)
Directions:
Bring 4 cups of water to boil
Add in pasta, let cook for 4 minutes then slowly add in the rest of the ingredients, stirring often. After combined, just make sure noodles and peas are cooked through, you may need to add in a bit of water towards the end, but it should turn out smooth and creamy.
Enjoy!
